7 Fun August Events in Boise
August is a super fun month in the Treasure Valley. As summer comes to an end, there are tons of interesting and exciting events taking place all throughout Boise. Whether you are looking for live music, food and drinks, or special events, I’ve got you covered. For more info on any of the events mentioned, be sure to check out boiseevents.org. Enjoy!
Neighborhood Concert Series
The Morrison Center and Lost Grove Brewing are partnering for the Neighborhood Concert series to bring live music to a park near you! This series will help to support local artists and celebrate all the beautiful neighborhoods in Boise. Lost Grove Brewing will be selling beer, wine, and cider. Yoga on the Mountain
This is a Treasure Valley summer favorite! Come to Bogus Basin on Saturdays and Sundays to join Yoga for Life as they host yoga on the mountain. Sessions are sixty minutes long, and all experience levels are welcome. Be sure to bring your own mat or towel and get ready for some fun and relaxation. Music on the Mountain
After a long break due to covid, music on the mountain is officially back in session! Escape to the mountains and enjoy a day filled with beautiful views, nature, and live music featuring local artists. The event is 100% free to the community. To see the full lineup, click here.


Annual Run for Safe Streets
Hosted by the Idaho Walk Bike Alliance, participate in this first running/walking event in 2021. Offered will be either a 5k, 10k, half marathon, or a kids 1.5k race. Registration fees will go directly towards legislation efforts to protect pedestrians and bicyclists through road safety and protection laws. Prizes will also be included for top winners! Get outside and support the cause by registering here and showing up on Saturday, August 7th.


Sip Local BINGO
Sip Local Bingo is a summertime experience that is happening now through September 20th. This is a great way to experience Idaho wines and ciders while exploring different Boise activities. West Ada Family Night @ Roaring Springs
Experience the new Snake River Run waterslide by visiting West Ada Family Night at Roaring Springs Waterpark. As a fundraiser for the West Ada School District, purchase tickets for August 11th from 8pm-11pm for just $10.99. There are a limited number of tickets for purchase, so if you are interested in attending, get those tickets ahead of time by using the code found here and then purchasing on their website.
Boise Water Lantern Festival
For a night of fun and beautiful water lanterns, check out this limited time event. You can even purchase a lantern kit that will come with a wristband for entry into the festival area with access to food trucks, a floating lantern kit, LED candle and a commemorative drawstring bag.
