Best Dog Parks in Boise
One of my favorite things about Boise is the outdoorsy lifestyle you can have here. Getting outside and enjoying the fresh air has so many health benefits, and it is also just fun! Having a dog makes it lot easier to get motivated and get outside. That’s why in this blog post I’ll be sharing my favorite dog parks in the Boise area.
Meridian Bark Park
This is a small, but really great dog park. Storey Dog Bark Park is located in Meridian, Idaho and sits on just over two acres of land. This is a great dog park to come to if you want to keep your pet in a secure area, as this park is fully fenced. There are also specifically leashed vs unleashed areas, as well as separate small and large dog areas. As a bonus, there are dog agility structures, picnic tables, and water stations.
Redwood Park
If you are looking for an off-leash dog park, this is a great option. Dogs are allowed off-leash at Redwood Park from sunrise until 10 am, and from 4 pm to sunset. This is a seven-acre space with plenty of walking paths, shade, picnic benches, and wide spaces for your pet to run around.
Dog Island at Ann Morrison Park
This, in my opinion, is by far the best dog park on this list. Dog Island opened back in 2019 and is any pet’s dream. This 5.4-acre landscape has wide open spaces for your dogs to run around and play. If your dog is a bit more reserved, there is a small fenced area for them to enjoy more comfortably. The best part of Dog Island is the dog beach area, which features a specially made ramp for your pet to access the water. For owners, there’s plenty of picnic tables and shaded areas to enjoy.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets to enjoy some time outside. If you end up going to any of these parks with your pups, let me know how you enjoyed it! I’ll be back on Friday with another blog post. In the meantime, follow me on Instagram @greglanghaim to see new content daily.
