Tips to Revamp your Outdoor Space for Summer
As the weather begins to warm up here in the Boise area, now is the perfect time to begin revamping your outdoor space for the warmer seasons ahead. Spending time outside is my favorite thing to do in the summer, and it is even better when you have a comfortable outdoor space to enjoy it in. In this blog post, I will be sharing my top five tips to revamp your patio space in time for the summer.
-
Add an area rug
Having even just a small area rug can really help your outdoor space to feel more cozy and inviting. They also can help decorate your space and give it the extra touch that it needs. Here are some of my favorite options at a range of price points:
West Elm Reflected Diamond Rug

Incorporate some plants
It wouldn’t be an outdoor space if you didn’t decorate with some plants! If your space is looking kind of dull or boring, adding plants is a great way to liven it up. Mandevilla Red Blooming Flower
-
Get a fire pit
Fire pits are a summer essential in my opinion. They are especially great for outdoor gatherings. There are so many beautiful fire pits out there whether you are looking for something simple or more elaborate (p.s. They are perfect for making s'mores!).

Have a comfortable seating area
This may seem like an obvious tip, but having a comfortable seating area can make or break your outdoor space. I really like the look and comfort of sectional patio couches, which you can further decorate with throw pillows and blankets. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Pottery Barn Indio Metal Sectional
-
Add mood lighting
Finally, my last and favorite tip is to get some outdoor lights. These are not only functional but can add an elegant touch to your space. If you take just one tip from this light, add lights! Here are some great options:
