Spring is here! It is one of my favorite seasons, especially here in Boise where there is so much to do. While having a relaxing weekend at home is always fun, I really enjoy finding ways to get out of the house and try new things. Luckily, we live in a great place if you enjoy getting out and being adventurous. In this post, I’ll share with you some of my favorite weekend activities for the spring. 

Visit the Capital City Farmers Market

If you love shopping locally and getting outside, the Farmers Market is the perfect weekend activity for you. The capital city market takes place every Saturday through the Spring and Summer from 9:30am-1:30pm. They have a huge variety of vendors to shop from whether you are looking for fresh produce, clothing, home decor, the list goes on. Also, if you are looking for a bite to eat while shopping, there are plenty of food trucks or restaurants within walking distance. Go on a walk or hike

Right now is the best time of the year to go hiking, because it’s not too hot or too cold, the weather is just perfect. If you are looking for a leisurely stroll that you can bring the dogs or kids on, the Boise River Greenbelt is a great option. It’s a very easy trail with so much beautiful scenery to check out. For a slightly more challenging hiking trail, Table Rock, located in the Boise foothills, is my personal favorite!

The Village Meridian

The Village Shopping Center in Meridian is so beautiful this time of year. Much like downtown Boise, the Village has a ton of shopping and amazing restaurants. This is also a great place to meet up with friends. My favorite thing to do at the village is to grab a drink from the Royal Coffee Co. and sit in their patio area to watch the water fountain show. 

Boise Art Museum

The Boise Art Museum is located in Boise, conveniently next to Julia Davis Park and the Boise Zoo which also can make fun weekend activities. They always are getting new exhibitions, which makes this a fun place to visit time and time again. If you are looking for something to do with the family, this is always a great choice.
