Weekend Activities in Boise

Spring is here! It is one of my favorite seasons, especially here in Boise where there is so much to do. While having a relaxing weekend at home is always fun, I really enjoy finding ways to get out of the house and try new things. Luckily, we live in a great place if you enjoy getting out and being adventurous. In this post, I’ll share with you some of my favorite weekend activities for the spring.

Visit the Capital City Farmers Market
If you love shopping locally and getting outside, the Farmers Market is the perfect weekend activity for you. The capital city market takes place every Saturday through the Spring and Summer from 9:30am-1:30pm. They have a huge variety of vendors to shop from whether you are looking for fresh produce, clothing, home decor, the list goes on. Also, if you are looking for a bite to eat while shopping, there are plenty of food trucks or restaurants within walking distance. For a list of vendors and more information, check out their website h; ...

Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I love this day because of the many things it can mean to different people, whether you are celebrating your mother, grandmother, or just someone who has filled that role for you, it’s a great day to show appreciation to the motherly figures in your life. As fun as it is to give others gifts and show your appreciation, I sometimes struggle to come up with good gift ideas. If you can relate, follow along with me in this blog post as I share some tested and approved mother’s day gift ideas all of which can be bought in the Boise area to help support our local businesses.
Brunch at Goldy’s
I wanted to start this list off with something I know my mom loves, which is Brunch! There are so many great restaurants in the area, but one of my personal favorite brunch spots is Goldy’s located in Downtown Boise. Be sure to try their stuffed french toast, which is to die for! They also have amazing omelets and so many other opti ...

Tips to Revamp your Outdoor Space for Summer

As the weather begins to warm up here in the Boise area, now is the perfect time to begin revamping your outdoor space for the warmer seasons ahead. Spending time outside is my favorite thing to do in the summer, and it is even better when you have a comfortable outdoor space to enjoy it in. In this blog post, I will be sharing my top five tips to revamp your patio space in time for the summer.

Add an area rug

Having even just a small area rug can really help your outdoor space to feel more cozy and inviting. They also can help decorate your space and give it the extra touch that it needs. Here are some of my favorite options at a range of price points:

Hampton Bay Star Moroccan Rug

Jill Zarin Outdoor Rug

West Elm Reflected Diamond Rug

Incorporate some plants

It wouldn’t be an outdoor space if you didn’t decorate with some plants! If your space is looking kind of dull or boring, adding plants is a great way to liven it up. I recommend addi ...

2. Know how big of a home you are wanting. Knowing this eliminates some homes and areas that you know won't work. You can start looking for homes and home sizes right here.
3. Make sure those involved in the process are on board with moving. Sometimes half of the party is more on bo ...
